S'mores can be an appetizer, right? I don't think there is a valid argument against it, especially when they're so cute and the portions are so small! You've got to try making these for your next summer party - I promise they'll be gobbled up before you can say s'more d'oeuvres.
Method:
Step 1: Using a sandwich toothpick, carefully poke a hole in the centre of the Golden Graham.
Step 2: Gently twist and slide the Golden Graham so that it fits over the widest part of the toothpick. Be patient with this step - some Golden Grahams will break in two, so just put those to the side (or back in the box for eating later). You'll need four pieces of cereal per stick, so depending on how many s'mores sticks you're making it might be a good idea to put Moonrise Kingdom on in the background.
Step 3: Slide the Golden Graham so that it sits about 3/4" from the flat end of the toothpick.
Step 4: Melt the chocolate wafers in the microwave and use the wooden skewer to dab chocolate onto the top of the Golden Graham.
Step 5: Slide a mini marshmallow onto the toothpick so that it touches the melted chocolate.
Step 6: Put more melted chocolate on top of the mini marshmallow.
Step 7: Place a Golden Graham on top of the melted chocolate.
Step 8: Repeat for the rest of the marshmallows and Golden Grahams.
Step 9: Repeat. Let the chocolate harden and enjoy!
If poking holes through Golden Grahams isn't a route you want to go, you could instead skewer three mini marshmallows onto the toothpick, put melted chocolate on either side of them, and then sandwich the marshmallow with the Golden Grahams.
This post is part 4 of 5 of my S'mores Week series.
Those mini s'mores are adorable. I think they would be fun to make.
