Bon Bon Bowls

I've started to realize that I have way more vintage glassware than I have room to keep. Recently I picked these adorable milk glass ramekins, but had yet to use them for anything. Instead of letting them collect dust, I came up with this crazy easy DIY project to turn them into oversized bon bons! See more photos and the full tutorial over on Julep.

Mini Clay Envelopes

I have such a crush on all things mail/post related, so these miniature clay envelopes were so much fun for me to make! Use them as place card holders, or punch a hole in the side and use one as a gift tag. DIY instructions are up on Oh Happy Day!

White Picket Fence Cake Topper

I've been noticing lots of for sale signs up around the neighbourhood and it got me thinking - wouldn't it be cute to make a cake topper just for welcoming new neighbours? See the full DIY over on Oh Happy Day!

DIY Drink Stirrers & Coasters

I'm excited to finally share a project I've had a lot of fun working on lately: matching drink stirrers and coasters! Both are easy and quick DIYs, but I think the combination of the two looks really sharp! Wouldn't they be fun for your next summer barbecue?

I made the custom coasters using Staples' photo gift website. Usually I see personal photos used on these products, but I thought I'd mix it up and use some modern geometric photos I took while DIY-ing the drink stirrers.

And great news - you can enter to win a $75 gift voucher to make your own custom photo gift from Staples Canada! See more details after the jump!

DIY Anniversary Gifts

It's probably pretty obvious that I love a good theme, so I had a lot of fun brainstorming ideas for the wedding anniversary gifts I put together for this post over on Oh Happy Day. I focused on paper (1 year), wood (5 years), and silver (25 years) but a lot of the traditional anniversary gifts would be pretty fun to do - four years is fruit and flowers, six years is candy ... so many possibilities!

Wrapping with Gift Horse & Co

If you know me, you know that I'm addicted to wrapping paper. Allow me to introduce Gift Horse & Co, a gift wrapping subscription service started by Corinna vanGerwin. I've been a big fan of Corinna's work for a long time (a few years ago when I first saw one of her gift wrapping features in Canadian Living magazine I instantly thought "How do I get that job?!") so when she told me about her newest project I was excited to learn more.

Wrapping with Gift Horse & Co

Last month I received the Christmas box and was so happy to use the supplies to finish up my Christmas gift wrapping. Each box includes wrapping paper (of course) but also coordinating ribbons, tags, and accessories. One of my favourite things about the Christmas box is that I can reuse the leftover paper or supplies at any time of year because, depending on how you style them, they don't have to scream Christmas. That's big in my books!

Wrapping with Gift Horse & Co

I also loved that I could mix and match the supplies with my own collection. I had already wrapped one of my mom's gifts before I received my Gift Horse & Co box but finished wrapping her other two gifts with the new supplies. The first image shows all three gifts wrapped using a mix of my old and new supplies - I really like how they turned out.

Back to School Wrapping Paper

I hate to be the one to bring it up, but back-to-school season is drawing nearer! I used to love shopping for school supplies (I'll admit it - I'm still hooked even though I've been out of school for ages!) so this little DIY wrapping paper project is a fun way to dress up your back-to-school necessities. See the full tutorial over on Oh Happy Day!

Easter Egg Hot Air Balloons

I've been on a bit of a hot air balloon kick lately - it's been so cold here that I'm very ready for spring and everything that comes with it. Easter is less than two weeks away, so I thought these Easter egg hot air balloons would be a perfect way to celebrate both spring and Easter! Because a hollow plastic egg is used as the balloon, you can fill it up with candy and give them away as little Easter presents for your friends and family!

Nautical Valentines

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, most stores are full of festive decorations, toys, and treats. While at my local dollar store, I was surprised to see they already have summer beach toys available! Even though the summer is still a few months away, I thought it would be fun to repurpose some toy boats into these cute Valentines.

DIY Giant Bow Headband

If you're throwing a birthday party anytime soon, why not make this giant bow headband so that the guest of honor stands out from the crowd? Don't consider yourself a seamstress? No worries! This project is completely no-sew! Use any fabric that you already have in your stash - this project is especially good for using up those scraps of fabric that you just couldn't bare to part with.
