DIY Drink Stirrers & Coasters

I'm excited to finally share a project I've had a lot of fun working on lately: matching drink stirrers and coasters! Both are easy and quick DIYs, but I think the combination of the two looks really sharp! Wouldn't they be fun for your next summer barbecue?

I made the custom coasters using Staples' photo gift website. Usually I see personal photos used on these products, but I thought I'd mix it up and use some modern geometric photos I took while DIY-ing the drink stirrers.

DIY Drink Stirrers

Supplies: Cardstock, washi tape, scissors, pencil, ruler, wooden skewers, hot glue gun.
Step 1: On your cardstock, draw triangles that are 2 1/2" tall and 1 1/4" at the base.
Step 2: Apply washi tape stripes over the triangles you just drew.
Step 3: Cut out the triangles. Repeat steps 1 to 3 on different coloured cardstock.
Step 4: Arrange the cut triangles and take some photos. Use these photos to make matching coasters.
Step 5: Use the hot glue gun to attach the triangles to the tops of the wooden skewers. Cut the skewers length to suit your glasses.
